S.V. Stuart Johnson has joined Kesselman Brantly Stockinger as a partner. Johnson will head the commercial real estate and partnership matters practice group. Previously, Johnson was head of litigation at Carico Johnson Toomey. Kesselman Brantly also hired associate Ryan Davis and legal assistant Brittney Igor.

Jackson Lewis brought on employment lawyer Theresa Mak as a principal in its San Francisco office. Most recently, Mak was a senior attorney at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.
The Orange County Bar Association awarded the Franklin G. West Award to Julie McCoy at its 2018 Judges’ Night & Annual Meeting. The award was established in 1971 to honor Judge Franklin G. West. McCoy previously served as the association’s president in 2006, and also co-founded the Orange County Bar Association’s Masters Division for attorneys with more than 25 years’ experience practicing law. McCoy has been a solo practitioner since 2003.
Jessica Tien joined DLA Piper as a principal economist in its Silicon Valley office. Tien previously was a partner at Ernst & Young in San Francisco and focused on planning of implementation of pricing structures.
