SAN FRANCISCO — Aimmune Therapeutics Inc. has hired Douglas Sheehy as its first general counsel. Sheehy comes to the Brisbane-based company from Codexis Inc., where he served as general counsel since 2007.
Sheehy said he was attracted to Aimmune because of its “veteran” leadership team, its strong balance sheet and its focus on food allergy therapeutics. “It’s a very interesting and unmet medical need with not a whole lot of work being done in that space,” Sheehy said. “It’s motivating to work in.”
