SACRAMENTO — Two political favorites of Silicon Valley on Tuesday announced the formation of a legislative tech caucus, a bipartisan and bicameral group of state lawmakers dedicated “to ensur[ing] that California remains the global leader in technology and innovation.”

Assemblymen Ian Calderon, D-Whittier, and Evan Low, D-Campbell, will chair the 11-member group, which does not have any legislative funding or dedicated staff. The caucus will not have any specific authority, either, other than to rally around favored legislation and issues.
