SAN FRANCISCO — Dechert has welcomed Mark Perlow as a partner in its San Francisco office, where he joins the firm’s financial services and investment management practice. Perlow comes to Dechert from K&L Gates, where he advised mutual funds, hedge fund managers, investment advisers, fund boards of directors and broker-dealers.
Before working at K&L Gates, Perlow served as senior counsel for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, working in the agency’s Office of the General Counsel and its enforcement division. That experience is helpful to investment management clients who have seen increased scrutiny from the SEC after the arrest of Bernard Madoff in 2008, he said.
