SAN FRANCISCO — One in four chief legal officers saw a data breach in their companies within the past two years, according to a new study released by the Association of Corporate Counsel. For the health care industry, the ratio is even higher, at almost one in two.

“You see these types of attacks in the news all the time, but it’s still amazing how much is going on,” said ACC vice president and CLO James Merklinger. “Everyone is being hit.”
