Christopher Austin has joined Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe as a partner in its Silicon Valley and New York offices. Austin’s capital markets practice is focused on technology and life sciences companies. He was a partner at Goodwin Procter and before that was with Ropes & Gray. See story online.

Elisa Paster has joined Los Angeles-based Glaser Weil as a partner in its government and regulatory law practice group. She represents developers, landowners, investors and local governments in land use and entitlement matters. She was a partner at Gilchrist & Rutter.

Courtney Rogerson has joined San Jose’s Miller, Morton, Caillat & Nevis as an associate in its litigation group. Rogerson was with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in Los Angeles and received her law degree from UCLA School of Law in 2010.

Ronald Cook was made a name partner at San Jose’s Willoughby, Stuart, Bening & Cook. A business litigator with an emphasis on insurance issues, Cook has been with the firm since 1991 and a shareholder since 1999.

Jennifer Villavicencio has joined Los Angeles-based Ideal Legal Group, where she’ll continue to specialize in family law. She’s a graduate of the Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
