The court of appeals affirmed a district court judgment. The court held that a terminated boutique retail store manager raised no material fact issues on her disability discrimination and retaliation claims where it was undisputed that she could not perform the essential functions of her job because her medical condition precluded her from being at the store on a full-time basis. The court held further that an executive’s abrupt and curt manner toward the manager was insufficient to establish a hostile work environment or intentional infliction of emotional distress.
