SAN FRANCISCO — A lawyer for the Santa Clara County prosecutor accused of withholding potentially exculpatory evidence in a 2006 rape and molestation case claimed in State Bar court Wednesday that his accusers have “no proof” of Brady violations.

Instead, the bar’s case against deputy district attorney Troy Benson is “based on a belief that prosecutors in general perhaps, and Mr. Benson in particular, are just out to get their next conviction,” said defense attorney Jonathan Arons of Arons Law.
