SAN FRANCISCO — Another federal judge has found the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional.

The ruling came in Dragovich v. U.S. Department of the Treasury, a class action challenging DOMA for preventing spouses in same-sex marriages or domestic partnerships from enrolling in the CalPERS long-term benefit program. U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken granted summary judgment in favor of plaintiffs on Thursday, finding DOMA ran afoul of plaintiffs’ equal-protection rights.
