Three of the candidates running against San Francisco DA George Gascon are demanding that he release a consultant’s memo on DNA procedures, saying his stance on the memo amounts to a cover-up.

At a joint press conference Tuesday, candidates Sharmin Bock, David Onek and William Fazio accused Gascon of trying to keep the memo under wraps until the election by appealing Judge Charles Haines’ decision last week that it be turned over to defense lawyers in a cold-case rape-and-murder trial.
