SAN FRANCISCO — Facebook Inc.’s trademark infringement suit against Teachbook.com over the use of the word “book” may be routine, but the social networking site isn’t taking any chances.

It’s hired Michael Rhodes, chair of Cooley’s litigation department, to handle the case. He’s joined by litigation partner Anne Peck, former head of Cooley’s trademark, copyright and advertising group, and associate Emily Burns.
