Mattel Inc. was hit with a consumer class action over “Wicked” dolls whose packaging contained a link to a pornographic website.
The lawsuit, filed on Tuesday and flagged by Law.com Radar, follows Mattel’s Nov. 11 recall of the dolls due to the printing error and comes days after the release of the Universal Pictures movie “Wicked,” based on the Broadway musical of the same name. South Carolina resident Holly Ricketson brought the suit after her minor daughter looked up the website, Wicked.com, on an iPhone.
