A parents’ lawsuit against social media giants Meta Platforms and Snap Inc. was remanded to Connecticut Superior Court last week after the companies failed to persuade the court to transfer the suit to a California federal court.

The parents of C.O., identified only by her initials in court documents, initiated an action against the companies in Connecticut Superior Court in January with claims that they violated the Connecticut Product Liability Act, the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act and various torts under state law.
