Willkie Farr & Gallagher announced that entertainment transactions lawyer and former media executive Andrew Kramer has joined the firm as a partner, based in Willkie’s Los Angeles office. Kramer will serve as chair of the motion picture, television and entertainment finance practice group. With over 30 years of legal and business experience, he has held a number of high-level positions in major film and television production and distribution companies and has also served as a lawyer in private practice. Kramer was most recently a partner at Loeb & LoebHis experience includes international management and exploitation of numerous successful film and television projects, including providing counsel on legal issues, business affairs, project, corporate and library financing, domestic and international productions and distribution in all media and platforms.

Thompson Coburn announced that Art Silbergeld rejoined the labor and employment practice as a partner in the Los Angeles office. Originally with the firm for seven years, Silbergeld represents large employers in high-stakes employment litigation and labor relations matters, including class action lawsuits and federal and state bench and jury trials. Prior to rejoining, he was a shareholder with Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth. He represents employers facing state and federal litigation involving complex claims of misclassification, overtime, meal period, discrimination, disability, harassment, wrongful termination, OSHA, whistleblower, retaliation, trade secret violations and cyberbullying in California and other states.
