DoNotPay, the self-proclaimed World’s First Robot Lawyer, whose website advertises the ability “to sue anyone at the press of a button,” is in hot water once again—for acting like a lawyer.

On March 3, Edelson PC filed a class action complaint against DoNotPay in California’s San Francisco County Superior Court under Business and Professions Code Section 17200, also known as California’s Unfair Competition Law, which prohibits, among other things, unlawful, unfair or fraudulent business acts or practices. Joshua Browder, founder and CEO of DoNotPay, was not personally named in the complaint.
