Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton on Tuesday announced its 2022 year-end bonuses according to an internal memo viewed by Law.com, matching the scale set by Baker McKenzie for associates meeting 2,000 hours, but taking it a step further with increased bonuses for high-billers and reduced amounts for low-billers.

While the 2,000-hour scale ranges from $20,000 for the class of 2021 to $115,000 for the class of 2015 and 2014, the firm has upped bonuses for those billing 2,200 or 2,400 hours, starting at $22,000 and $24,000, respectively, for first-year associates, and topping out at $126,500 and $138,000 for eighth-years.
