A group of teachers, students, parents and organizations challenged Florida’s so-called Don’t Say Gay law in federal court to block its enforcement. Now, 16 attorneys general have formed a coalition in support of the plaintiffs, including California Attorney General Rob Bonta.

On Thursday, Connecticut’s Attorney General William Tong became one of the latest additions, joining the coalition that filed an amicus brief opposing the “Parents Rights in Education Act,“ more commonly known by critics as the Don’t Say Gay law.
