Hunton Andrews Kurth announced the promotion of Clare Ellis to counsel in the firm’s San Francisco office. Ellis focuses on environmental issues impacting the transportation and energy sectors, with emphasis on air quality and climate change. Ellis is versed in both federal and California air quality and greenhouse gas emission regulations impacting vehicle, equipment and parts manufacturers, as well as all energy producers, distributors and transportation companies. She also advises a range of clients on compliance with state and federal hazardous materials transportation, accidental release prevention and similar laws. 

Dentons announced that Peter Stockburger has been named managing partner of the firm’s San Diego office. He succeeds John Leslie, who is retiring after 35 years at the firm. Stockburger began his tenure at Dentons in January 2011. As a member of the firm’s venture technology and emerging growth companies group and co-lead of the firm’s autonomous vehicle practice, Stockburger partners with clients around the globe to strategize about how they can leverage data and talent to grow, operate and protect their business.
