Perkins Coie has announced that James G. Snell, a veteran privacy and data security partner, has been appointed as the managing partner of the firm’s Palo Alto office. In addition to his new position, Snell will remain a partner in the privacy and security law practice. He counsels and defends clients in a range of complex commercial matters, including risk mitigation related to state and federal privacy laws and defense of privacy class actions and regulatory enforcement matters. Snell also serves on Perkins Coie’s partner compensation committee.

Willkie Farr & Gallagher announced that Patrick J. Sandor has joined the firm as a partner in the San Francisco office, where he will be part of Willkie’s private equity practice group. He was previously a partner at Wilson Sonsini. Sandor’s practice is focused on private equity buyout and investment transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, spin-offs and carve-outs, restructurings and recapitalizations and growth and later-stage financings. He represents leading private equity funds and their portfolio companies, with a particular focus on the technology, fintech and health tech industries.
