California’s chief judges disclosed that class action cases often take two to three years to be resolved in their districts, fueling their call for attorneys to support more judgeships in California in a virtual panel discussion Friday.

The state’s four chief judges shared how class action attorneys can streamline their cases in a court system sifting through COVID-19 backlogs and pre-pandemic caseload concerns. The comments came during the fourth annual Western Alliance Bank Class Action Law Forum at the University of San Diego School of Law.
