Meta Platforms, CEO Mark Zuckerberg, COO Sheryl Sandberg and other top executives were hit with a securities class action Tuesday in California Northern District Court in connection with Meta’s response to recent privacy updates by Apple. The complaint, filed by Wagstaffe, Von Loewenfeldt, Busch & Radwick and Labaton Sucharow, accuses the defendants of misleading investors about the impact on Facebook’s advertising revenue. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 3:22-cv-01470, Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 60 Pension Trust v. Meta Platforms, Inc. et al.
