Bursor & Fisher and Edelson PC filed a privacy class action Wednesday in California Southern District Court against PeopleConnect and other defendants. The complaint contends that the defendants’ websites Intelius.com and USSearch.com offer free ‘people search’ options designed to entice consumers to purchase monthly subscriptions, essentially offering individuals’ private information without their consent for marketing purposes. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 3:22-cv-00209, Camacho et al v. PeopleConnect, Inc. et al.
