Following an attorney-client privilege violation the prosecutor said was “on me,” felony charges have been dismissed against an Orange County attorney in an alleged client-referral scheme involving the national firm Jacoby & Meyers.

Steven Omid Mehr, 45, was accused of using his rights to the Jacoby & Meyers brand for an illegal partnership with a marketing company, WebShark360, that exchanged money for client referrals in violation of California labor laws that prohibit paid referrals in the workers’ compensation and insurance industries.
