California’s state bar seized the practice of a Southern California man who, under the guise of at least 22 aliases, misrepresented himself as an attorney to unwitting clients, bar officials said Friday.
The Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday issued an interim order allowing the bar to take custody of client records and files held at offices run by Efferin Deans in Canoga Park and the San Fernando Valley.
