More than a year after he retired from the California Supreme Court, former Associate Justice Ming Chin has been busy doing a lot of things you might expect from someone no longer swamped by volumes of petitions to review. He’s played plenty of golf. And he recently returned from a trip to the Alps with fellow Supreme Court retiree Marvin Baxter.

But Chin, 79, didn’t stay away from the law for long. ADR Services Inc. announced in August that Chin has joined the company as a neutral. The former jurist of 32 years recently spoke with The Recorder about his new role, his continued passion for all things science-related and what he left in his office for his successor.
