AT&T, Verizon and Lumen Technologies were sued Wednesday in California Central District Court by local exchange carrier Wide Voice LLC. The suit, filed by Robins Kaplan, seeks to collect more than $1.6 million from the long-distance carriers pursuant to a recent decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The decision found Wide Voice’s tariffed charges were ‘deemed lawful’ between July 2017 and Nov. 2019. The case is 2:21-cv-07579, Wide Voice LLC v. CenturyLink Communications, LLC et al.
