Apple was hit with a product liability class action Tuesday in California Northern District Court on behalf of purchasers of its M1 MacBook Air and Pro laptops. The complaint, brought by Bursor & Fisher, alleges that computers’ thin design makes screens prone to cracking, blacking out, and malfunctioning. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 5:21-cv-07109, Almeida v. Apple, Inc.
