An aviation company based in Silicon Valley has named Menlo Park-based Andy Missan, formerly FitBit general counsel, as the company’s new chief legal officer.

Archer, which manufactures all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft and bills itself as creating the first ever ‘urban electric jet,’ announced the hire Monday. The company said Missan will lead it through an upcoming NYSE listing via merger with Atlas Crest Investment Corp., a special purpose acquisition company or SPAC, this fall.
