The air taxi trade secret dispute between Wisk Aero LLC and Archer Aviation Inc. got its wings Wednesday.

Judge William Orrick III tentatively denied Archer’s motion to dismiss the case, then gave no indication of changing his mind during an hourlong hearing that pitted Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher against Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.
