Los Angeles County Superior Court will require all 4,600 of its employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 “as a condition of employment,” Presiding Judge Eric Taylor announced Thursday.

Workers will have until 45 days after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration gives final approval to at least one vaccine now in use, the court said. FDA officials said Wednesday that it expects to complete the approval process for the Pfizer-BioNTech’s coronavirus vaccine by early September.
