The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has accused three people of involvement in a $30 million cryptocurrency investment scam.
According to the SEC, the defendants sold tokens to investors that were held out as investments in emerging technologies. But the business ventures failed, resulting in losses to investors in the United States and abroad who purchased the tokens, according to the complaint filed in a New Jersey federal court.
