Lawyers at Buchalter on Wednesday removed a lawsuit against Uber and subsidiary Raiser LLC to California Northern District Court. The complaint was filed by Levin Simes Abrams on behalf of eight unnamed female plaintiffs who claim to have been sexually assaulted by Uber drivers. The suit, which brings negligent hiring, failure to warn, misrepresentation and vicarious liability claims, contends that Uber was aware or should have been aware that some drivers would assault or otherwise harm passengers and has not taken steps to improve its safety procedures. The case is 3:21-cv-04194, Jane Doe Lsa 3 et al v. Uber Technologies Inc. et al.
