While not quite matching the stellar financial performance of their Am Law 100 counterparts, California’s Am Law Second Hundred firms saw steady growth in revenue and profits despite the pandemic, and they financially outperformed their peers in 2020.

The nine California law firms in the second half of the Am Law 200 saw revenue rise by an average of 4.3%, revenue per lawyer grow by 5.3% and profits per equity partner (PEP) jump 12.4%. By way of comparison, the average revenue growth among the second half of the Am Law 200 was 1.1% while PEP increased an average of 8.8%.
