The 30-day clock on challenges to disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein’s extradition to face charges in California is now running, following a delay related to paperwork issues, attorneys for Weinstein and the Erie County District Attorney’s Office agreed Friday.

Weinstein appeared by video from Wende Correctional Facility, where he has spent the first year of his 23-year sentence for third-degree rape and criminal sexual act. His extradition to California, where he has been indicted for sex crimes, has been repeatedly delayed due to the pandemic. Weinstein has also appealed the New York conviction.
