The commission charged with drawing California’s new political boundaries has chosen the law firms Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and Strumwasser & Woocher as its top candidates for legal counsel.
The California Redistricting Commission now will enter negotiations with the two firms over contract terms, including provisions sought by commissioners that would have the firms share litigation duties.
