Additional documents in support of passing a $92 million class action settlement with TikTok were filed this week, with counsel indicating the video-sharing platform has agreed to directly notify class members of the settlement through its app if the court chooses.

The filings came in response to U.S. District Judge John Z. Lee’s decision, which initially deferred approval of the proposed settlement on March 2, citing a need for more information proving class members, many of whom are minors, are adequately represented and have had the strength of their claims thoroughly evaluated, as well as clarification on how they would be notified of the settlement.
