Law firms throughout the Am Law 200 have posted incredibly high profits for 2020—several surpassing 20% year-over-year growth—as the pandemic axed many typical annual expenses such as travel and business development.

But those profit jumps pale in comparison to that of Fenwick & West, which saw a staggering 40% increase in net income year over year, driving up profits per equity partner (PEP) 31.2%, from $2,169,000 to $2,846,000, as the firm’s equity tier grew.
