Employees for Walmart Inc. claim the company has skipped out on base pay and overtime wages during COVID-19 screenings at the start of each shift.

The proposed class action filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California on Tuesday cites a case against Apple Inc., where the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit found that the Apple Store must pay its employees for the time spent doing bag searches at the end of each shift.
