Davis Polk & Wardwell promoted 16 attorneys to counsel positions, including Northern California-based Philip T. Sheng. Sheng works in the firm’s litigation department, where he focuses on intellectual property. He handles IP cases related to  life sciences and pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, semiconductor integrated circuits, smartphone and tablet displays.

San Diego-based Wilson Turner Kosmo brought on five new attorneys. Senior associate Elvira Cortez will work in the firm’s litigation and employment law groups; associate Michaela Delacruz will work in the employment law group; associate Kristina Fretwell will work in the products liability group; associate Ashley Quinn will work in the products liability and warranty groups; and associate Jordan Turner will work in the business litigation and employment law groups. Prior to the move, Cortez was with Dinsmore & Shohl; Delacruz was with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith; Fretwell was with Selman Breitman; Quinn was with GableGotwals; and Turner was with the Brown Law Group.
