A retired Modoc County judge has agreed never to seek judicial office again as part of a disciplinary settlement with the Commission on Judicial Performance.
Superior Court Judge David Mason was accused of failing to disclose on the record the full details of his friendship with a local attorney who appeared before him. The commission publicly admonished Mason for the same conduct one year ago.
