Four Bay Area law schools posted double-digit gains in bar exam pass rates for the July 2017 test, according to school-specific numbers released by the state bar.
Fifty-one percent of first-time test-takers from Golden Gate University School of Law passed the latest exam, up from just 31 percent a year earlier. University of San Francisco School of Law saw an 18 percentage-point increase for exam rookies. Santa Clara University School of Law's pass rate rose from 66 percent in 2016 to 79 percent. UC Hastings College of the Law's success rate jumped 10 points to 61 percent.
