The U.S. Senate voted on seven federal district court nominees Tuesday, including Susan Paradise Baxter, President Donald Trump’s pick for a district court seat in the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Baxter, a federal magistrate judge since 1995, served as chief magistrate judge for the district from 2005 until 2009. Before her appointment to the bench, she served as solicitor for Erie County and as a partner in a Washington, D.C., law firm. She was confirmed Tuesday by voice vote.
