Umar A. Sheikh joined Offit Kurman’s real estate law and transactions practice group in the New Jersey-Metropark office.
Sheikh’s practice concentrates on all aspects of real estate law—purchases, sales, financing, development, leasing, evictions, foreclosures, management—and those areas of law that are related to real estate—corporate, tax, asset protection, estate planning and litigation.
Blank Rome chairman and managing partner Alan J. Hoffman is scheduled to receive the American Jewish Committee Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey Judge Learned Hand Award on Wednesday.
Hoffman joined Blank Rome in 1992 and has served in a number of leadership positions.
He began his career as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice, recruited to serve as part of the Attorney General’s Honors Program.
He was a supervising assistant U.S. attorney and received the Attorney General’s Special Commendation Award for his achievements.

PNC Wealth Management appointed Salvatore Patti as the new senior vice president and managing director for the Philadelphia, Delaware and Southern New Jersey region.
In this role, Patti leads a team of wealth management professionals providing a range of services including financial planning, banking, trust and estate planning and investment services to area clients.
Patti brings more than 25 years of financial services experience to the PNC Wealth Management team.
Starting as a PNC small business banking professional, Patti’s PNC career has also included senior relationship management and leadership roles in commercial banking, supporting local businesses with annual revenues spanning $5-$50 million.
Klasko Immigration Law Partners partners H. Ronald Klasko, Daniel B. Lundy and Anu Nair participated in the 2017 American Immigration Lawyers Association’s EB-5 Investors Summit.
Klasko was a discussion leader for the “Representing Clients in Failed or Fraudulent Projects” panel.
Lundy served as discussion leader for “Regional Center Investments: Understanding the Deal and the Capital Stack.”
Nair participated on the panel titled “Advanced Source of Funds and Path of Funds Issues.” Klasko serves as both its managing partner and chair of the 25-person EB-5 team of the firm.
Lundy leads the regional center/developer team and the compliance team of the firm’s EB-5 practice.
Nair, a partner and the firm’s investor team’s managing attorney, is responsible for the preparation and filing of all EB-5 petitions, both through regional center investments and individual investment opportunities. •
