• On Monday, Sept. 25, the Support Center for Child Advocates (SCCA) will host its 12th annual golf classic, Swing for Change, at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. This event benefits the SCCA Project for Medically Needy Children, a ­critical program led by a staff attorney and social worker who team with specially trained volunteer lawyers to secure necessary medical treatment, special education, ­rehabilitation services and permanent nurturing homes for young clients that have serious or chronic medical needs. • On Tuesday, Sept. 26, Philadelphia VIP will present a landlord/tenant training session for volunteer attorneys from noon-2:30 p.m. at Blank Rome, 130 N. 18th St., Philadelphia. This training will start with a choice of one of two sessions: “Nuts and Bolts: Taking a Landlord Tenant Case in Municipal Court” or “Changes in the Law and Advanced Strategies.” The training will conclude with a joint session to discuss general negotiation techniques and possible outcomes for a landlord-tenant case.
