Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote added Ryan S. Welsch to its Pittsburgh office.

Welsch joins the real estate and energy practice groups with a focus on services provided by the oil, gas and mineral services group.

He handles all aspects of mineral title work inclusive of due diligence projects, complex heirship and curative action, along with land-based petitions in addition to a concentration in certified title opinions.

His real estate practice covers both commercial and residential transactions.


Attorney Mary Sue Ramsden, of Raphael, Ramsden & Behers, along with attorneys Elisa J. Cavalier and Wendy Denton Heleen, spoke at a seminar for the Women’s Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania, titled “Women Lawyers Taking Care Of Business and Family.

Ramsden’sareas of practice include appellate practice, child custody, family law, wills and probate.

She obtained her law and bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Elected and Appointed

Barley Snyder’s John Sylvanus was named to the Cultural Alliance of York County board of directors.

He currently is a member of the board of the York Symphony Orchestra and is set to serve a two-year term as the symphony’s designated partner representative on the alliance board.

He counsels clients in construction-related matters such as litigation, contracting and dispute resolution.

He represents architects and engineers and has practiced construction law for nearly 40 years.


Williams Family Law’s divorce attorney Robert J. Salzer was named a partner at the firm.

Salzer focuses his practice on financially complex, high-net-worth family law matters, including divorce, alimony and spousal support, equitable distribution, child support and child custody, marital agreements and more.

He previously served as a deputy district attorney in the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

He is a member of the Bucks County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and Bucks County American Inn of Court.

Salzer earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and later a law degree from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.

He received an LL.M in taxation from Boston University School of Law.
