Pennsylvania’s next attorney general, Josh Shapiro, has no experience as a prosecutor. But former prosecutors say that is not a problem, and could benefit the office.
Shapiro is set to be sworn-in in January, after Pennsylvania voters elected him to be the state’s top prosecutor last week. Shapiro is chairman of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners and a corporate attorney with Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young focusing on real estate and regulatory compliance. Before becoming a commissioner, he was a state legislator in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
