A federal judge knocked four counts off of former U.S. Congressman Chaka Fattah’s corruption conviction Thursday, lessening his overall burden but leaving the bulk of the 22-count guilty verdict intact.

U.S. District Judge Harvey Bartle III of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania held that the prosecution failed to prove four counts convicting Fattah of mail fraud, bank fraud and falsifying business records while upholding the remaining convictions.
