A Philadelphia jury has awarded a former PECO Energy employee and his wife more than $6.4 million over claims that he was exposed to asbestos-containing products that caused him to develop lung cancer.

The verdict was announced Wednesday afternoon in Roverano v. John Crane. The jury determined that products manufactured by defendants John Crane Inc. and Brand Insulation Inc. caused plaintiff William Roverano to develop lung cancer that metastasized into his brain.
