Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane today outlined the arguments she is expected to make when her challenge to the authority of the grand jury investigation that eventually recommended she face criminal charges is heard before the state Supreme Court.

On Wednesday, Kane filed a supplemental memorandum supporting her challenge to supervising grand jury Judge William R. Carpenter’s appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate Kane’s office for alleged leaks of confidential grand jury information. Documents unsealed last month showed that the grand jury had recommended Kane be charged with perjury, false swearing, official oppression and obstruction.
