The nonprofit organizations related to a suburban Pittsburgh diocese don’t have to comply with Obamacare’s contraceptive mandate since a federal judge has granted them a permanent injunction.

U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab of the Western District of Pennsylvania had initially granted a preliminary injunction to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Greensburg, Pa., in June, about a week before the U.S. Supreme Court issued the Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores decision that held that for-profit corporations can be exempt from the mandate if their owners have religious objections. Schwab looked to that decision in his opinion granting a permanent injunction to the diocese this week.
